Yes, these chairs have definitely seen better days. Often, chairs are not worth repairing, as the repairs can often cost as much as a couple new chairs at most furniture stores.

However, these chairs happened to be the first furniture my clients had bought as a couple, and they were quite sentimental about them. So, I said I'd give it my best shot - afterall, it was my first restoration job.

Both chairs barely had any intact glue joints. Plus, a few of the seat joints were coming apart as the wood shrank and expanded with seasonal movement. Oh, almost forgot to mention, the arm chair had 3 broken spindles. Guess it's time to learn how to use that lathe my father-in-law gave me!

Well I guess I managed to pull it off.
