Bowl #1

This bowl comes from an  American Elm  that was originally in the yard of our next-door neighbors. The tree had to come down, and our neighbors kindly allowed me to take some of the wood. As you can see, elm  has stunningly dramatic grain patterns. In the case of this bowl, you can also see where smaller branches had grown out of an original larger one.  (This was the same stock of wood I used to turn a candlestick).
